What's a Dashcam? Why Do I Need One?

What’s a Dashcam? Why Do I Need One?

Almost everyone has heard of the Russian video capture of the meteorite shower all caught on dashcams in February 2013.  The capture of this rare event sparked so much buzz on the web and video platforms that it put the idea of dashcams on the map. So, why are there still some people who still do not know of dashcams and their usefulness?

Until recently the idea of needing a dashcam was much more prevalent in Asian countries and Russia because of the precarious road conditions and traffic related accidents with lack of police assistance, to put it nicely.  The evidence used in Russian courts by dashcams became so useful in civil cases that they are almost only resolved through the use of captured footage on dashcams.

Following the craziness of CES 2014 our newly established US dashcam company, PAPAGO! Inc. was faced with the consumer’s questions of what is a dashcam? Why do I need one?

The American buyer is not always persuaded by things they see occur in other countries. We do have the select few, but overall Americans need to know the value a product will have for them personally and how they will benefit from buying it.

With our research and development team from Taiwan we have created a complete line of high quality, advanced system dashcams that can provide 1080p 30fps HD footage and unbeatable night adaptable capture capabilities.  Our lane departure warning system (LDWS), front collision warning system (FCWS), fatigue alarm, speed warning, and light alert, can help any driver become more aware of the road.

Dashcam’s are not just recording devices but helpful tools to help you stay alert on your travels.  Will all consumers be able to capture a meteor shower? Highly unlikely, but hey you never know.
